Stephanie Grana Appointed President-Elect of the CCT Board of Directors

Breit Cantor Grana Buckner

At Breit Cantor Grana Buckner, all our Virginia personal injury attorneys are committed to securing justice for our clients – and giving back to our local and state-wide community. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that our firm partner Stephanie E. Grana has recently been appointed as President-Elect of the Board of Directors for Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT)!

An impassioned advocate for injury victims across the state, Attorney Grana has been an active Board of Directors Member for Commonwealth Community Trust since 2017, in addition to serving on many other non-profit boards and committees. On behalf of her entire firm, we’d like to congratulate her on this recent election to the President-elect position for the CCT Board of Directors and thank her for her continued efforts on behalf of our community.

About Commonwealth Community Trust

A nationwide non-profit that administers special needs trusts (SNTs), Commonwealth Community Trust allows individuals with special needs and disabilities to receive efficient and affordable assistance with their trust funds. Aside from ensuring that all trust disbursements are prompt, accurate, and beneficial to the recipient, CCT also protects government benefits such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid for special needs individuals.

CCT was founded in 1990 by the parents of a special needs child, and since then, it has been managed by a compassionate Board of Directors who receive no compensation for their work. To serve on the Board of Directors, the volunteers must be highly-reputable legal or financial professionals, or have a close relationship to an individual with special needs. For those Board Members with a legal background, it is essential to understand the rules about trusts, as well as how trust disbursements can affect Supplemental Security Income and other government benefits.

It’s estimated that CCT has served over 1,450 clients between its founding in 1990 and February 2018, managing more than $52 million in funded trusts for special needs individuals. By ensuring that special needs individuals can receive fair and accurate trust disbursements, the volunteers at CCT are creating a brighter future for those living with disabilities.

Compassionate and Caring Counsel

Just as Attorney Stephanie Grana has successfully served countless injury victims throughout Virginia, we are confident that she will serve special needs individuals well as President-Elect of the CCT Board. Through thoughtful acts of service, our entire team at Breit Cantor Grana Buckner hopes to make a difference in the lives of our clients and our community – and leave a positive impact on the world.
